Amie is a research scientist focussing on water resources and coastal marine ecosystems. Her goal is to help better integrate the social and cultural aspects of the natural environment into policy and resource management.
Amie is a former dancer and choreographer specializing in modern and contemporary dance. She co-founded REVolutions Dance Inc. in Florida and spent 7 years working with adaptive dance, integrating people with and without disabilities in professional dance productions.
Amie began training Olympic weightlifting in 2015. After moving to a new city she stumbled into CrossFit Tallahasse looking for a place to lift. She was embraced by a supportive community and immediately fell for the daily challenge of CrossFit and the personal fulfillment it provided.

Seriously, everyone looks ridiculous when they're learning an entirely new way of movement -- embrace it.
