Jen is a wife and mother of three who started CrossFit two years ago during the 2017 Open. She grew up in Calvert County and is a Northern High School graduate (class of 2004). She currently teaches science at Calvert High School. During her spare time, she volunteers with the local Beach Buccaneers youth group as well as with her husband's military Family Readiness Group. She has come a long way in the two years she has been with us and is still improving in many ways. Her biggest struggle has been pull-ups, but she does not let that stop her when she comes to the gym. She decided to intern and work on her CrossFit Level 1 certification because of her love for helping people grow and learn. Helping people reach their goals and watching their enjoyment when they reach a PR or complete a new move is enough to help her want to learn more on how to improve her own coaching skills.
