CrossFit Kids creates an encouraging fitness atmosphere in a supportive, energetic environment. All exercises are modified to the ability of each child, ensuring success while building character. All workouts are run by a CrossFit Kids-certified coach.
At CrossFit Kids, children will learn basic CrossFit movements. CrossFit Kids begins by starting kids workouts with no weights and then slowly introducing weighted movements into the workouts. CrossFit Kids is designed to be a 30-minute class that begins with a warm-up. After the warm-up, the class will work on a specific skill for the day. Skill work is followed by a workout that uses movements learned in class. The class wraps up with a game played at the end. Kids will move, jump, lift, push, and pull!
CrossFit Pre-Teens is designed for middle-schoolers, or advanced kids. This is a step up from our Kids class, but not quite our main group classes. This program is ideal for athletes who are looking to get fit, and/or who are looking to increase their strength, speed and mobility for the other sports they play. CrossFit Pre-Teens is a 45-minute class that begins with a warm-up, then skill work, followed by a workout. The class wraps up with additional skill work or mobility.
Not simply a scaled down version of CrossFit, it is designed for young people and the specific developmental needs of that group (neurological, cognitive, motor), helping them develop a lifelong love of fitness. In a group setting, children and teens participate in fun and engaging workouts that deliver measurable results and prepare them to be well-rounded athletes. Constantly varied classes helps avoid overuse injuries caused by year round sports.
